ACT OVERVIEW/SET SMART GOALS

ACT OVERVIEW/SET SMART GOALS

In order to reach a goal, you first have to set one...

We are going to work on creating intentional and specific goals for your next ACT session!

During our first session, we will work together to refine

S.M.A.R.T. Goals

***Take a look at your SMART Chart prior to our call.***

We are going to make choices about our next steps and our next level of education. You will want to come to this session considering how you will be able to begin the next chapter of your life.

Here are some things you can use to create motivational and achievable goals...

  1. Start thinking about admissions requirements for your top five college choices. Ask yourself, "What do I need to be competitive?"
  2. Use your most recent ACT scores to guide your goal-setting.
  3. If this is your first time taking the test, think about your grades in classes that prepare you for the test:
    1. English I, II, III, IV - Grammar, Reading, & Science ACT Sessions
    2. Algebra I, II, & III, Geometry, Trigonometry, Adv. Math, Calculus, & Statistics - Math ACT Session
    3. Biology, Physical Science, Earth Science, Chemistry, & Physics - Science & Reading ACT Sessions
  4. Consider the time you have to devote to practice. You will need at least an extra hour each day to move your score to three to four points.
